I use these ALL THE TIME for my cake orders. The height works great for any single tiered cake with toppers on it. It works with some adjustments for a 2 tier. (Mine are closer to 12" tall.) They are not heavy boxes, and they look really nice to your customers.

Having an extra tall box today for my gymnast cake was just what I needed. I could have even used a bit taller box but taping the sides of the lid to the cake box I was able to get a few more inches out of it.
