is this box big enough for an average pound cake?

Hi Gloria, Yes, as long as your pound cake has a diameter less than 10" and the height is less than 6". The 4" height might be a better fit. Your best bet would be to try some samples to see which works best for you. You can find the 'Get Samples' link on the left side of our webpage :)
